Begoña Arostegui

Filmmaker with nearly twenty years of experience in the field animation, she has worked for the art department of series and films such as ‘Robot Dreams’ (Pablo Berger, 2023) and ‘Decorado’ (Alberto Vázquez, 2025). In parallel, she has also been active in the music sector as audiovisual director for Vetusta Morla and Alejandro Sanz’s El Disco World Tour. She has also developed her own animation projects, including the short films ‘El lugar adecuado’(2016) and ‘Yo’ (2020), selected at Annecy. Her latest short film, ´El cambio de rueda´ (2024), premiered worldwide at Annecy and in Spain at Seminci, and was nominated for a Goya Award. As a screenwriter, in addition to her own animated short films, she has co-written the feature films ‘The Rite of Spring’ (2023) and ‘Subsuelo’ (2025) with Fernando Franco.
