Karu Borge

Born in Valladolid and trained at ESCAC as a cinematographer, she has worked on feature films such as ‘Red Rooster’ (2023) and ‘Buscando la película’ (2021), as well as short films such as ‘Juan Carlos’ (2022), ‘Trigues tistres’ (2023), ‘La Señora’ (2023), ‘¡Por nosotras!’ (2023), ‘Los comedores de loto’ (2021) and ‘Festín’ (2018), music videos for artists such as L.M., Delameseta and Hijos del Tercer Acorde, and several commercials. She has also worked on major projects such as ‘Society of the Snow’ and ‘The English’. As a director and screenwriter, she has made ‘¡Que os jodan!’ (2022) and ‘Bum Pum’ (2024), the latter of which won the Seminci Factory - Valladolid Film Commission award. A member of the youth jury at the Barcelona International LGBT Film Festival, she is committed to social and queer cinema.
