Manuel Asín

Coordinator of the Film Department at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid and member of the selection committee for FIDMarseille. Between 2021 and 2025, he was artistic director of the Punto de Vista festival. He has organised film retrospectives for institutions such as the Spanish Film Library, the Reina Sofía Museum, Tabakalera, the Seville Festival, the Moreira Salles Institute, etc. He has contributed to publications like ‘Trafic’, ‘Cahiers du Cinema España’ and ‘Caimán Cuadernos de Cine’, whose editorial board he is a member of. He has edited numerous books on film, the latest of which is ‘Frans van de Staak. La palabra en archipiélago’ (2025, in collaboration with Carlos Saldaña). He was head of the book and DVD distributor and publisher Intermedio (2010-2015). He is also a collaborating professor at the Carlos III University of Madrid.
