Sándor, a widowed father of two, is tested by fate when he becomes the only witness of a serious accident involving his stepdaughter caused by his youngest son. He has to decide between accepting the consequences of speaking the truth, or lying to keep his boy out of juvenile detention.
Bálint Dániel Sós
Hungarian writer-director born in Budapest in 1977. After getting his BA in Aesthetics at ELTE, he pursued a career in advertising, directing numerous commercials. In 2014, he was one of the founders of KiNoPRaVDa, a directors’ collective that established itself as one of the major players on the international advertising scene. In parallel to his commercial work, Bálint has always written short stories and turned two of them into short films: ‘Grand Prix’ (2017) and ‘Creamy’ (2023), both of which were widely screened on the A-List international film festival circuit. ‘Growing Down’ (2025), his feature film debut, premiered in the Perspectives section of the Berlin Film Festival.
