While pregnant with her second child, Kika faces the sudden death of her partner. Totally heartbroken, and broke, she sets her priorities straight: 1. stay strong; 2. make money fast. Dirty underwear, dildos and neurotic parents will unexpectedly help.
Alexe Poukine
Filmmaker, actress and screenwriter born in 1982 in Rambouillet (France) and based in Brussels. After attending Drama classes, she studied Ethnology and trained in Film at the Lussas Ecole Documentaire, where her graduation project, ‘Petites morts’ (2008), was selected for several international festivals. Her first feature film was the documentary ‘Dormir, dormir dans les pierres’ (2013), followed by ‘That Which Does not Kill’ (2019) and ‘Sauve qui peut’ (2024), with which she participated in festivals around the world such as Valladolid (in the latter case, as part of the Time of History section). In 2020 she directed and starred in the medium-length film ‘Palma’, her first fiction work, which won awards at festivals like Clermont-Ferrand, Palm Springs and IndieLisboa. ‘Kika', her first fiction feature film, was awarded at Brussels and Munich and selected for the Critics' Week at the Cannes Film Festival.
