Taking its name from the song ‘Little Trouble Girl’ by Sonic Youth, the film is a coming-of-age movie about the sexual awakening of Lucia, a Slovenian teenager, during her stay in a convent with her Catholic school choir. Lucia will have to confront the contradictions that her faith and nascent desire awaken in her, while navigating the turbulent waters of adolescent friendship.
