Born in 1976 in Boulogne-Billancourt, he studied at ESRA in Paris before making his first short films. At the age of 30, he wrote, co-directed and produced his first feature film, ‘Them’. This horror film brought him to the United States in 2008 to direct the remake of a Hong Kong film of the same name, ‘The Eye’. Starring Jessica Alba and financed by Tom Cruise, the feature was a box-office success, earning several times its original budget. In 2013, he completely changed registers with ‘It boy’, where he directs Virginie Efira and Pierre Niney in a romantic comedy that sold nearly 1.4 million tickets in France. In 2016, he turned to fantasy with a feature film adapted from a successful Franco-Belgian comic strip: ‘Seuls’. Very versatile, in 2020 he directed the family adventure film ‘King’. With ‘MadS’, he returns to a genre he’s particularly fond of: scary movies.
