Remis is a small village nestled in an isolated valley in the mountains. Its inhabitants are exceptionally happy. The place seems like the perfect destination for Sergio Rossetti, a new physical education teacher who is haunted by a mysterious past. Shortly after his arrival, the teacher discovers that behind the town’s apparent peace lies a disturbing ritual: one night a week, the locals gather to embrace Matteo Corbin, a teenager capable of absorbing the pain of others. Sergio's attempt to save the young man will awaken the dark side of the community.
