Carmen, a recently retired woman from Leon, embarks with her family on an unplanned trip to the Catalan Costa Daurada after the death of the matriarch. What begins as a simple farewell quickly becomes a reunion with her roots and with a part of herself, she had never been aware of. A comedy about family, identity, and the courage to start over, no matter if it's sooner or later. A story of reunions, not with others, but with oneself.

Carla Álvarez (León, 2001) trained in cinematography and production at ESCAC. Under the Spanish Sun', her final degree project. Leonese by birth and Catalan at heart, she uses humour to reflect on the tension of belonging, roots, and tradition, capturing the beauty of growing up in this contrast.
