Every film screened at the Valladolid International Film Festival is the result of a complex process of creation, research, production and realisation that extends far beyond the screen. Behind every film lies a team that imagines, designs and constructs a universe which, hopefully, will remain in the viewer’s memory and help to enrich the legacy of Spanish cinema, a cornerstone of our cultural identity.
Since 2024, an exhibition has offered an in-depth look at the creative process behind a selection of Spanish-produced feature films featured in each edition.
The exhibition brings together original materials documenting the creative process of these works: sketches, costumes, props, storyboards, production notebooks and posters that reveal the physical traces of the filmmaking process.
