Born in Madrid in 1981. He holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication from the UCM and was trained at the Lisbon Film School (ESTC). He has been assistant director to Alberto Rodríguez, Lois Patiño and Elena López Riera, among others. He has directed the short films ‘Las hormigas’ (2007), ‘De caballeros’ (2010, premiered at IDFA) and ‘Buenos días resistencia’ (2013, premiered in Rotterdam and awarded at numerous festivals). In 2017, he made his feature film debut with ‘Niñato’, which premiered simultaneously at Bafici and Visions du Réel and won awards at both festivals, before being recognised in the New Waves section of the Seville Film Festival. ‘To Our Friends’ (2024), his second feature film, had its world premiere at Visions du Réel before landing at Seminci and winning an award in Nantes, Las Palmas and RIDM.
