Alejandra is a young woman who lives with her family on a modest campsite in a coastal small town, and her daily life is spent between routine and fleeting seasonal romances. Her world is turned upside down one night when she meets Amara, a city girl who radiates confidence and mystery. As their relationship progresses, Alejandra begins to confront her past wounds and rethink the limits she has imposed on herself.
Lucía G. Romero
Lucía G. Romero was born in Barcelona, in 1999. Due to an early interest in writing and consuming stories, at the age of 18 she obtained a full scholarship to the ESCAC film school from where she graduated with a master’s degree specializing in directing. 'Cura sana' (2024), her final degree project, accumulated 58 selections and 12 international awards, including the Crystal Bear for best short film in the young audience section of the 74th edition of the Berlinale, the Exaequo Award for Best Femenine Performance at the Malaga Film Festival and the Feroz Cinema Jove 2024 award, as well as a nomination for best short film at the Catalan Film Academy Awards. She is developing the first feature film with a grant from the Spanish Film Academy Screenwriting Residency (GOYA). Her second short film, her master’s thesis, 'Close to September' (2025), will premiere at the 75th Berlin Film Festival, in Berlinale Shorts.
