‘Director's Diary’ is a journey, with no pretense of conclusion, a unique reading of the history of the second half of the twentieth century. A grandiose work with multiple meanings, a spiritual biography of the author set against the backdrop of thousands of faces from an immense country and thousands of events from the pulsating life of the entire globe. The film is like a book that the viewer reads, flipping through the pages of history. The viewer can follow, analyze, and imagine their own internal connections, the allusions to the events of the twentieth century. In this film, literature and cinema merge in a single flow that transcends documentary genres.
