Mamma Roma

Streetwalker Mamma Roma dreams of a comfortable middle-class life. After the wedding of her pimp, she leaves the building where she usually works and, thanks to her savings, settles with her son Ettore in a decent neighbourhood, where she runs a fruit stand in the popular market. Ettore is a boy with a weak and impressionable character who gets carried away by his friends and falls in love with Bruna, a girl who initiates him into the secrets of love.
