Boy from Heaven

Born in Stockholm (Sweden) in 1972 and, together with Kristina Åberg, co-founder of the production company Atmo. He started as one of the top graffiti artists in Stockholm in the 80s. He directed and wrote the screenplay for ‘The Nile Hilton Incident’, which won the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance 2017, as well as awards such as the Golden Spike and the awards for Best Director and Best Screenplay at Seminci that same year. He previously directed documentaries such as ‘Sacrificio: Who Betrayed Che Guevara’ (2001) and ‘Gitmo’ (2004), before debuting in 2009 with the animated feature ‘Metropia’, awarded in Venice and selected in competitions such as Annecy, Sitges or Stockholm. His filmography also includes the thrillers ‘Tommy’ (2014) and ‘The Contractor’ (2022), several episodes of the futuristic HBO-series ‘Westworld’ (2018) and Showtimes series ‘Ray Donovan’. His latest work, ‘Boy from Heaven’ (2022), won the award for Best Screenplay at the Cannes Film Festival.
