At 13, Pierre returns to live on his father's farm after the sudden death of his mother. Harassed at school, he takes refuge in his passion: skateboarding. He meets Bertrand, an outsider with a hidden past as a former skateboarder, who takes him under his wing. Together, they try to rebuild their lives.
Antoine Besse
Filmmaker based in Paris. He made his mark in 2014 with his first short film, ‘Le Skate moderne’, a fantasy documentary about the lives of countryside skateboarders inspired by Raymond Depardon's ‘Modern Life’, that won more than 14 awards around the world. In 2015, he returned with ‘Courbes’, a feature documentary about surf culture. At the same time, he directed over twenty music videos and commercials for Big Productions. A year later, he was asked to direct the series ‘Red Creek’ for Canal+, starring Lou De Lâage. In 2019 he directed the short film ‘404’, and in 2021 he directed ‘BTS (Behind the Scenes)’, an experimental mini-series about a charity shoot that goes off the rails. In 2023 he directed ‘Caro Nostra’, a genre series for France Télévisions and ‘Ollie’ (2024) is his first feature film. He is currently writing ‘Nightbird’, his second feature film set in the world of Caribbean surfing.
