Three independent stories reflecting some of the many facets of love. Elvira and Alfonso have been engaged for ten years. Throughout this time they have remained chaste while they waited for him to pass a Civil Service examination. María, who works at a big department store, meets a handsome and extremely wealthy man with whom she decides to lose her virginity: however, the true nature of this blue prince will soon be revealed. Pilar and José, a young married couple, strive to keep alive the fire of their love in spite of everyday problems.
Julio Diamante
He was born in Cádiz in 1930 and died in Madrid in 2020. He began studying Medicine at the Complutense University of Madrid, but soon enrolled at the Institute of Cinematographic Research and Experiences (IIEC), and began his intense career in drama and performing arts as founder and director of the IIEC Experimental Theatre. After directing several short films, he graduated in 1961 in Directing from the Official School of Cinematography, where he taught until the institution's closure in 1975. A decisive activist, he was a member of the Piqueras Group and directed the Benalmádena International Week of Auteur Cinema from 1972 to 1989. After debuting in feature films with ‘When Peace Breaks Out', titles like 'Tiempo de amor' (1964, which won four awards at Seminci) and 'The Art of Living’ (1965, selected for competition in the Official Section of Berlin), made him an integral part of the then flourishing New Spanish Cinema movement. His films have participated in festivals like Venice, Locarno, New York, Pesaro and San Sebastian. With a remarkable critical output, he is also the author of two collections of poetry.
