Yrupẽ

Born in Madrid in 1986, she studied Audiovisual Communication in Madrid and completed a master's degree in Fine Arts and Photography at the Université Paris 8. She was also part of the Artists Programme at the Torcuato di Tella University in Buenos Aires. Her work spans archives, moving images and botanical practices. Her filmography includes works such as ‘Balun Canan’ (2017), ‘Primera noche’ (2018), ‘Proyecto Y.’ (2024) and ‘Danza III’ (2024), which have been included in exhibitions and screened at CRA Matadero Madrid, Cineteca, Círculo de Bellas Artes, Real Jardín Botánico, Centro Cultural de la Memoria Haroldo Conti, Fundación Cerezales, the Punto de Vista festival, and the Sandretto Re Rebaudengo foundation, among others. Her latest work, ‘Yrupẽ’ (2025), was selected for Visions du Réel in the Burning Lights competition. She is also a member of LaCalor, a garden and an independent art space dedicated to screen printing and graphic work.
