The closing carpet of the 66th edition of the festival can be followed on the Seminci Channel

The closing of the 66th edition of the Valladolid International Film Festival is approaching, and in view of the preparations for tomorrow, Saturday 30th October 2021, the day when the names of the winners of the different Spike Awards of this Film Week will be revealed, the organisation has also prepared different channels so that the city’s film-loving public can follow their favourite event right up to the last minute.

Thus, the closing gala green carpet, that will mirror that of the opening day gala, of this 66th edition can be followed live on Seminci Channel this Saturday 30th at 18.00h. Unlike last Saturday, this carpet will take place under a covered roof due to the rain forecast.

In addition, the closing gala, presented by Elena Sánchez Sánchez and Eva Marciel, and again with the musical accompaniment of Glass Glassy and Trío Caracol, will be broadcast on Spanish National Television TVE La 2 channel at 21.00h and RTVE Play; and will feature, in addition to the awards ceremony, with the awarding of the Spike de Honour to legendary director of photography Vittorio Storaro, by the also prestigious filmmaker Carlos Saura. In this way, any spectator of the Valladolid Seminci Festival, even those who have had to return home after rigorously fulfilling their ritual for the “Week” of each edition, will be able to enjoy the farewell of the 66th Film Week, from when the countdown to the 67th edition in 2022 will begin.
