The director of the International Film Week of Valladolid (Seminci), Javier Angulo; the mayor of Valladolid, Óscar Puente, and the Councilor for Culture and Tourism of the City Council, Ana Redondo, have made this morning the traditional inaugural walk along the green carpet of the festival, prior to the opening of this, which starts this Saturday, October 22 and will run until next October 29.

The walk began on Santiago Street and ended at the festival’s Accreditation Hall, located in the Calderón Theater, where those present began to collect their accreditations.

There, the mayor has assured that he has “very good expectations” of this edition, “especially with regard to the public”. “It is a very complete week”, said Puente, before adding that now “it is time to look ahead and think about the 70th Seminci”, which will have to be a “very great” edition.

In the same vein, Angulo, who has guaranteed that among the 275 titles to be screened this year “there is everything”, has confirmed that against the forecast of rain for these days “there is plan B and even plan C”.

The event was also attended by the territorial director of Unicaja Banco, Manuel Rubio, and Maria Jose Rivera, head of Institutional Relations of the bank, Silver Sponsor of the film event.

At the end of the event, the attendees enjoyed the traditional official dessert of the festival, prepared by the Provincial Association of Confectioners of Valladolid, represented by its president, Rafael Mesonero.
