Santiago Auserón will participate in the presentation of his film, Semilla del son, directed by JuanMa Betancort

The film will hit theaters on November 10

Santiago Auserón, leader of the mythical group Radio Futura and alter ego of Juan Perro, will come to Valladolid by the hand of the Seminci to present his non-fiction film Semilla de lson, directed by filmmaker JuanMa Betancort and starring the musician, musicologist and philosopher himself.

The event will take place tomorrow, Friday, October 27, at the Teatro Zorrilla, at 9:45 pm. After the screening of the film in the presence of the crew, the audience will be able to participate in the subsequent discussion. 

Santiago Auserón was impregnated with the rhythmic wisdom of son since his first visit to Cuba in 1984. His project Juan Perro has been his sound laboratory and in it he synthesizes Cuba, Spain and New Orleans. Semilla del son is a journey that starts from the Spanish tradition and flies to the Mississippi Delta in the form of blues, with an intermediate stop in the Cuban son, to finally fuse it with the jazz of New Orleans. A sonorous road movie that takes us into the universe of one of the most charismatic figures of Spanish postmodern culture.
