The Valladolid International Film Festival (SEMINCI) will begin advance sales of season tickets for its 71st edition next Tuesday, 13 October. Season tickets will be available for two days, until Wednesday 14 October, both at the new sales point set up at Espacio SEMINCI and via the festival’s website.
A limited number of season tickets will be available and can only be purchased during this period. At the Calderón Theatre, the full season ticket costs 138 euros and includes screenings at 4.00 pm, 7.00 pm and 10.00 pm, the SEMINCI magazine and tickets for the opening and closing galas. The morning pass costs 44 euros and includes screenings at 09.00 and 12.00; the vermouth pass, at 25 euros, covers the 19.00 screenings; and the evening pass, at 26 euros, covers the 22.00 screenings. At the Teatro Carrión, the aperitif and evening passes cost 33 and 30 euros respectively.
In any case, members of the public should bear in mind that screening times may vary in some cases depending on the start time of each screening, so the festival recommends checking the programme.
Passes will be on sale at Espacio Seminci (20 Leopoldo Cano Street) on Tuesday 13 October, from 11.00 to 14.00 and from 17.00 to 20.00, and on Wednesday 14 October, from 11.00 to 14.00. Online pass sales will begin on Tuesday 13th at 11.00 and will remain open until 14.00 on Wednesday 14th.
Advance ticket sales and the 10-Session Pass
From Friday 16 October at 11.00, individual tickets and the 10-Session Pass will go on sale, both online and at the box office. The 10-Session Pass costs 35 euros, is valid for all screenings scheduled during the festival, except those at the Calderón Theatre, and entitles the holder to ten tickets, which may be single tickets for ten screenings or pairs of tickets for five screenings. Tickets associated with the 10-Session Pass can be validated online or at the box office.
On 16 and 17 October, individual tickets and 10-film passes will be on sale in person at Espacio SEMINCI, from 11.00 to 20.00. From Sunday 18 October, in-person sales will move to the Calderón Theatre, where they will continue until 22 October, from 11.00 to 14.00 and from 17.00 to 20.00. During the festival, from 23 to 31 October, the box offices at the Calderón Theatre and Broadway Cinemas will be open during their respective opening hours, with the exception of 23 and 31 October – the opening and closing days – at the Calderón, where the box office will be open from 8.30 am to 4.00 pm, and on 23 October at the Broadway Cinemas, where ticket sales will begin at 4.00 pm.
Online sales of individual tickets and the 10-Film Pass will begin on Friday 16 October at 11.00 am and will remain open until the end of the festival.
Prices for individual tickets vary depending on the venue and time slot, ranging from €3 for screenings at some venues to €6 for evening screenings at the Calderón Theatre. Tickets for the opening and closing galas are priced at €32, €15 and €10, and go on sale two days before each gala, both online and at the box office.
The festival also offers a reduced rate for those under 26, over 65 and the unemployed. This rate is only available at the box office, upon presentation of the relevant supporting documentation — national identity card or jobseeker’s card. Screenings in the ‘Castilla y León en Corto’, ‘Castilla y León en Largo’ and ‘Quercus’ sections cost 1 euro.
