The film takes an emotional journey through the life and career of a unique, controversial, revolutionary, rebellious, brilliant artist... David Delfín was much more than a fashion designer. He was a complete and multidisciplinary artist who used couture to express himself and the catwalk as a megaphone. The documentary begins with the scandal caused by the ‘Cour des Miracles’ collection fashion show, known as ‘the rope show’, and then goes on to explore his personal life and professional career. In a twist of fate, he and Bimba Bosé, his soul mate, fell ill with cancer at almost the same time. The model died on 23 January 2017 and the designer passed away five months later, on 3 June 2017.
César Vallejo, Ángela Gallardo, Rafael Muñoz
Madrid’s Ángela Gallardo and Valladolid-born César Vallejo return to the documentary genre after the success of titles such as ‘La última noche de Sonia Martínez’ (2024), 'Pacto de silencio. Santiago Corella ‘El Nani’ y la mafia policial' (2022, premiered at Seminci Series) and ‘Susana y el sexo’ (2021). They also created the miniseries ‘Ya no quiero esconderme’, while Vallejo single-handedly directed the documentary about Miguel Ángel Sánchez, ‘Un hombre tranquilo’ (2025). Rafael Muñoz, a journalist from Valladolid who coordinates arts & culture features and is an expert in fashion and film at RTVE Play, is a founding member of the Spanish Fashion Academy and makes his debut as a documentary director with ‘David Delfín. Muestra tu herida’ (2025), which results from his own original idea.
