1983, behind the Iron Curtain of Eastern Europe in Budapest. Frank is the charismatic singer of a banned punk band that carries the voice of their generation against a totalitarian regime. Taken by the police to a psychiatric hospital in an attempt to silence him, Frank will sacrifice everything to resist.
Gábor Fabricius is a writer and director born in Budapest in 1975. He attended the Moholy-Nagy University and London Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. He has published two novels (‘Soft Neon Headshot’, 2009; and ‘Another Planet’, 2016) and ‘Erasing Frank’ is his debut feature after several shorts that played in various festivals including TIFF. His filmography includes shorts like ‘Live’ (2006), ‘Grown Ups’ (2006), ‘Bianka’ (2012), ‘Skinner’ (2014), and ‘Dialogue’ (2017).
