Ellie is ten years old and has just started Middle School. She possesses a wild imagination, endless curiosity, and a profound passion for birds. She watches them, listens to them, reads about them and observes them in various situations: from the streets to school, and even at the library. One day, Ellie is lent a rare ornithology book by the school librarian. The day she comes to return it as promised, she discovers the doors of the library are already closed. Her curiosity leads her to deliver the book to the librarian in person. She lives on an island full of birds in the middle of the Loire River off Saumur… This marks the beginning of an adventure immersed in nature, and an initiatory journey for Ellie.
