A sci-fi from the winner of the Rotterdam Tiger Prize 2022, with an unusual approach to an LGTBI relationship through magical realism and dreamlike textures and tones. Lourdes and Lana met telepathically using ‘sensory pills’, a technology that allows access to other people’s sensations from a distance. When Lana learns that a child has disappeared in the middle of a storm, she begins to question the limits of her telepathy.
Isadora Neves Marques
Born in 1984 in Lisbon Director, visual artist, and writer. Her cinema releases include the films Becoming Male in the Middle Ages, which was awarded the Ammodo Tiger Short Award at its premiere in the IFFR in 2022. Her films have been shown in festivals such as NYFF and TIFF, as well as in major art institutions. She is co-founder of the film production company Foi Bonita a Festa and of the poetry press Pântano Books. Until 2022 she worked under the name Pedro Neves Marques.
