Margot, a brilliant but insecure medical student, struggles to cope with the frantic pace of her emergency department placement. However, exhaustion is not her biggest problem: a wave of young patients is being admitted with inexplicable symptoms that defy all clinical logic. As the line between her diagnosis and her own reality becomes blurred, Margot discovers to her horror that her body is beginning to replicate the very same mysterious condition she is trying to cure.
