What would happen if one year Santa couldn’t keep his gift-delivering Christmas Eve appointment with all the children in the world? ‘La Navidad en sus manos’ a fun and endearing comedy for the whole family set in the days before Christmas and on Christmas Eve itself. An original twist on Christmas films featuring an insane adventure in which snowmen, Christmas carols, reindeer, presents, elves and, of course, the indispensable Santa Claus all play a part. A story about the most beloved person from the North Pole and an essential figure for children, as well as a great protagonist in the history of cinema, this time played by Santiago Segura.
Director and producer born in 1976 in Madrid. After forging his career as a filmmaker directing episodes in series such as ‘Doctor Mateo’, ‘Con el culo al aire’ or ‘Allí abajo’, he debuted in feature films in 2016 with ‘Heroes Wanted’, which two years later would give rise to a television series titled ‘Cuerpo de élite’, in which he also acted as producer. In 2022 he directed ‘Two Many Chefs’ and in 2023 he released ‘De perdidos a Río’, before filming ‘The Night my Dad Saved Christmas’.
