Eva and Fabián are twin siblings about to come of age. One summer night, they find themselves involved in a tragic accident. The specific circumstances, however, are unclear and seem to be known only to the siblings and their mother, Mabel.
Fernando Franco
A renowned filmmaker who also works as an editor, he has been nominated seven times for the Goya Awards for his work on 'Snow White' (2012), 'May God Save Us' (2016), 'Journey to a Mother's Room' (2018), 'Black Beach' (2020), 'One Year, One Night' (2022), “Robot Dreams” (2023, Oscar nominee) and 'Little Loves' (2024). As a producer, he was nominated for a Goya for best animated short film for 'El cambio de rueda'(2024). He made his feature film debut in 2013 with ‘Wounded’, which won the Special Jury Prize and the Silver Shell for Best Actress in San Sebastian for Marian Álvarez, and won Goya awards for both the actress and himself for Best New Director. In 2017, he reinterpreted Arthur Schnitzler’s novel of the same name, ‘Morir’, and his third feature film, ‘The Rite of Spring’, returned to San Sebastián and earned Telmo Irureta the Goya for Best New Actor. He teaches at institutions such as ECAM, ESCAC, Pompeu Fabra University and EICTV in Cuba, and ‘Subsuelo’ is his fourth feature film.
