Spaces of encounter for film creation, learning and collective reflection.
Cinema at the cinema. School screenings in cinemas with films selected for each educational level. A shared experience, on the big screen, that leaves an impression.
A programme aimed at primary schools in the city of Valladolid, in the case of Miniminci (up to the age of 12), and secondary schools within SEMINCI Youth (from 13 to 17 years of age). Most of the titles selected have not been premiered in Spain and some of them also participate in the festival’s competitive sections. Valladolid schoolchildren had the opportunity to enjoy the films The Most Precious Cargo by Michel Hazanavicius, Holy Cow by Louise Courvoisier (César for Best First Film 2025) and Last Swim by Sasha Nathwani (Crystal Bear at the Berlinale 2024), among others.
The students also become active participants in this programme, as those attending the screenings will vote for the Miniminci Award after the session. In addition, primary school pupils can take part in a competition to create the official poster for the Miniminci series.
Under the title SEMINCI in the province, this educational film experience has been held since 2024 in schools in other parts of the region.
