In the early 1990s, Mónica de la Fuente, a young Spanish theatre and dance student, set off on an overland journey to India. There, she discovered the classical performing arts of southern India and found a new way of understanding the body, artistic creation and her own identity. That experience transformed her life forever and gave rise to a professional career spanning Spain and India. Thirty years later, her daughter Nazaré – also a dancer and the same age her mother was when she undertook that journey – returns to the places that marked that process of transformation.
