Killing a Bear

Jorge made his debut in 2006 as a director and screenwriter with the feature film ‘The Night of the Sunflowers’, for which he was nominated for Best Screenplay and Best New Director at the Goya Awards. Between 2007 and 2015, he worked as a director on various series for Telecinco, Antena 3 and Televisión Española. Alberto has a degree in Architecture and began his career in the audiovisual industry as art director on 'The Night of the Sunflowers' (2006), before going on to work as a screenwriter and producer. He collaborated with Bambú Producciones on writing various scripts for their series ‘Gran Hotel’. Together, in 2011, they created and wrote ‘Crematorium’, a series by Mod Producciones for Canal+, which won the Ondas Award for Best Spanish Series. In 2016, they founded Kubik Films. Their first production, ‘The Zone’, created and written by both of them for Movistar Plus, won the Feroz Award for Best Series of the Year in 2018. Their latest work as creators and screenwriters is ‘See You in Another Life’, a series produced by Kubik Films in collaboration with Disney+, which was nominated for five Feroz Awards and won a prize at the Málaga Film Festival.
