FILMMAKER - SPAIN

She began her career at Canal+ España and sub- sequently worked as an executive producer for Telecinco Cinema, Vértigo Films and Cine 365 Films on projects including titles such as ‘Cell 211’, ‘Pan’s Labyrinth’, ‘Torremolinos 73’, ‘The Orphanage’, ‘The Oxford Murders’, ‘Rage’, ‘Blue Is the Warmest Colour’, ‘Kiki, Love to Love’, ‘Jumping the Fence’ and ‘Another League’, among many others.

In 2013, she founded Film Fatal and, together with the Colombian company 64-A Films, produced ‘Ciu- dad Delirio’ (Chus Gutiérrez, 2014), for which she also served as co-screenwriter.

She has been a member of the selection committee for Venice Days, a section of the Venice International Film Festival, and is a lecturer at Camilo José Cela Uni- versity in Madrid. She is also a member of the selec- tion committee for the Madrid Women’s Film Festival.

In 2013, her medium-length film ‘Cinema Vérité, Vérité’ premiered at the Cineteca and at numerous festivals; this work was created in accordance with the guidelines of the #Littlesecretfilm manifesto. She also directed the short films ‘Cena de Navidad’ and ‘Christmas Light and Shadows’. In 2024, she released her first feature film as a director, ‘The Party’s Over’, which was selected for festivals including Toronto, the American Film Institute, Miami, Rio de Janeiro and the Valladolid International Film Festival, where it won the Pilar Miró Award for Best New Spanish Director.
