In a land haunted by monsters made of vegetation, thirteen-year-old Cleo faces her worst nightmare when her little brother, Martín, is captured by one of them. With the help of Iolo, a magical old woman, and a hilarious female anteater as her traveling companion, Cleo ventures deep into the jungle to capture Mukira, the monster who took Martín. Her goal is to perform a ritual that promises to bring her brother back, but she soon learns that the monsters hide a surprising secret beneath their enormous fur.
Estefanía Piñeres Duque
She is a Colombian actress, screenwriter, and filmmaker. She is known for her work on ‘Delirium’ (2025), ‘Malta’ (2023), and ‘Wild District’ (2019). She has received the Colombian Film Development Fund (FDC) Award, along with several other national recognitions. Her first animated short film, ‘Color-ido’, was selected at festivals including Pixelatl, AniMaze, FICCI, and the Educational Programme of the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR). She is the screenwriter of ‘Palacio’ (2026), produced by Dynamo and Netflix, and served as story editor for the adaptation of ‘En diciembre llegaban las brisas’ (2026). Her first animated feature film, ‘Mu-ki-ra’, received support from the FDC, Ibermedia, ICAA, among others, and was selected by the Annecy International Animation Film Festival for the Animation Day Showcase at the Cannes Marché du Film in 2024. Her debut live-action feature, ‘The Damned’, participated in TorinoFilmLab - Next Feature Film 2023 and is currently in post-production.
