Algeria, June 1955. Khadidja leaves the Kabylie region to reunite with her older brother, Malek, in Algiers. After an altercation at the market, the police arrest him, leaving Khadidja alone. Luckily, Lyes, Ahmed, and Philippe will do everything they can to help her find Malek. From the rooftops of the Casbah, the four children conduct their investigation.
Antoine Colomb
French director, screenwriter, and editor specialising in animation and short films. His career began in the early 2000s with works such as the short films ‘Minouche’ (2001) and ‘La Mélodie du bonheur’ (2004). He has primarily worked on animated television series, collaborating with studios such as Xilam Animation. He has directed episodes of ‘The Podcats’ (2009), ‘Le Donjon de Naheulbeuk’ (2016), ‘Yétili’ (2016-2024), and ‘Lupin’s Tales’ (2020-2023), a highly successful preschool series about a little wolf who dreams of becoming a fairytale hero. He has also contributed as a screenwriter to ‘Furiki Wheels’ (2018) and ‘Moka’s Fabulous Adventures’ (2020). In recent years he has directed the miniseries ‘Petite Casbah’ (2024), set in Algiers in 1955 and focused on the friendship of children from different communities, which in 2026 he adapted into a feature film format for its theatrical release.
