Zau loves music and nature. However, he encounters a world in which his values are worthless and allows himself to be drawn into it. Will Zau be broken by it? Based on Goethe's ‘Zauberlehrling’, ‘Zau’ questions current social developments and addresses the conflict between material growth, economic constraints, overproduction, and humanitarian values. Will we allow ourselves to be enchanted, transformed, exploited, and alienated by a data, and profit-driven world, or will we remain true to ourselves and stay human in a culture connected to nature?
