A Day in the Life of Jo: Chapter Phaedra

Mia mera sti zoi tis Tzo: Kefalaio Faidra
Jacqueline Lentzou
Greece, Germany, France
 - 2026
Spanish premiere
Jo is wild, melancholic, only 15 and today she misses the school bus, once again. Her mother insists she doesn’t have a car, even though it’s parked outside. Furious, Jo tries to damage the car. Her mother intervenes, and that is the last time they will meet in the physical world – at least in body form. Throughout the day, subtle signs and symbols from the dream world quietly surface around her, but she fails to recognize them.
Jacqueline Lentzou
Greek filmmaker born in Athens in 1989. After directing a dozen short films, such as ‘Alepou’ (2016, premiered in Locarno), ‘Hiwa’ (2017, Berlin), ‘Hector Malot: The Last Day of the Year’ (2018, Cannes) or ‘The End of Suffering (A Proposal)’ (2020, Locarno), she was the New York Onassis foundation fellowship recipient for 2022 as well as one of the three finalists for the prestigious Rolex Mentor & Protegé scheme 2022-2024. In 2021, she made her feature film debut with ‘Moon, 66 Questions’, which premiered in competition in the Encounters section of Berlin and won the New Waves award in Seville. ‘A Day in the Life of Jo: Chapter Phaedra’ (2026), her second feature film, had its world premiere in the Orizzonti section of the Venice Film Festival.
