Lisbon Story

Wim Wenders
Germany, Portugal
 - 1994
The German filmmaker Friedrich Monroe has trouble with finishing a movie about Lisbon. He calls his friend, the sound engineer Phillip winter, for help, but as Winter arrives Lisbon, Monroe is disappeared. He left behind some tapes with images, but no sound. The technician tirelessly walks through the streets of Lisbon, recording the sounds of the old town to complete the images recorded by his friend, with the hope that his microphone can pull Monroe’s pictures ‘out of darkness’ and just save his entire undertaking.
