Aura Satz
An artist born in 1974 in Barcelona and based in London, whose work combines film, sound, performance and sculpture. Her filmography includes short films such as ‘Automamusic’ (2008), ‘Vocal Flame’ (2012), ‘Between the Bullet and the Hole’ (2015) and ‘Entangled Nightvisions’ (2018), amongst others.‘Preemptive Listening’ (2024), her first feature, won the New Visions Award at CPH:DOX. She has performed, exhibited and screened her work internationally, including Tate Modern, BFI Southbank, Hayward Gallery or Sydney Biennale, and she has presented special screening programmes at the Rotterdam Film Festival, The New York Film Festival, Tate Britain, Whitechapel Gallery and more.
