Mirages have been reported along the Spanish coast. A young French woman travels to San Sebastián to observe these visual aberrations. There, she meets a mysterious Portuguese woman who tells her a story from her youth: of obsession, and a gaze that can turn the world inside out.
Bingham Bryant
He is a director, producer and film programmer based between Lisbon and New York City. His debut feature, ‘For the Plasma’ (2014, co-directed with Kyle Molzan), was selected for Entrevues Belfort, IndieLisboa and Jeonju and his short ‘Foreign Powers’ for NYFF. His 2025 shorts ‘Doomed and Famous’ and ‘Untitled’ premiered at NYFF and FID Marseille, respectively. His first solo feature, ‘Mirage’ (2026), premiered in competition at FID Marseille. He is currently in post-production on two shorts, ‘As Esposas dos Mortos’ and ‘Día azul’. As a producer, he recently premiered Maria Novo’s ‘Massa Mãe’ (2026) at Curtas Vila do Conde, and is preparing new features by Zachary Epcar and Nina Menkes. His critical writing has appeared in MUBI Notebook, Filmmaker and Narrow Margin. He is an alumnus of Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, and served as cinematographer for Rita Azevedo Gomes’ ‘Fuck the Polis’ (winner of the Grand Prize at FID Marseille 2025).
