An Andalusian Dog

On a clear night, a man gouges out a young woman’s eye as a cloud passes in front of the moon. Eight years later, a cyclist has an accident in the street. The same young woman comes to his aid and kisses him. In a room, the cyclist harasses the young woman. A street incident distracts them. An androgynous character plays with a severed hand and is run over. The cyclist continues to harass the young woman. A ‘double’ appears and punishes the cyclist until the latter shoots him. Finally, the young woman goes out to sea and meets another man. In the spring, the torsos of the young woman and her new companion are found buried in the sand, devoured by insects.
