Film director born in Alicante in 1952. His filmography includes titles such as ‘Orquesta Club Virginia’ (1992), ‘Pepe Guindo’ (1999) and ‘El tiempo de la felicidad’ (1997). Among his most recent works are the documentaries ‘La fiesta de los locos’ (2016), about the street carnival of Cádiz; ‘La Club Virginia’ (2021), about his 1991 film; or ‘Cohen y yo’ (2021), about the poetic work of young Leonard Cohen. La soledad del director de fondo’ is an approximation to Fernando Colomo, the director who brought the Nouvelle Vague and changed the course of Spanish cinema.
