Carla has just joined the Human Resources department of a large insurance company with the mission of restoring employee trust. But the demands of her boss and the company soon clash with that objective, forcing her to make increasingly difficult decisions. How far will she be willing to go to keep her job?
Stéphane Brizé
French screenwriter and director born in Rennes in 1966. After studying electronics, he moved to Paris, where he studied drama and worked as a television technician. His first feature film, ‘Le Bleu des villes’ (1999), won the Michel Ornano prize at the Directors’ Fortnight at the 1999 Cannes Film Festival. His second feature, ‘Not here to be loved’ (2005), received three César nominations and one EFA nomination. With ‘Mademoiselle Chambon’ (2009), he won the César for Best Adapted Screenplay, and with ‘A Few Hours of Spring’ (2012), he competed at Locarno. With ‘The Measure of a Man’ (2015), he received a special mention from the Ecumenical Jury at Cannes, and Vincent Lindon was recognized as Best Actor. Thanks to ‘A Woman’s Life’ (2016), he won the FIPRESCI Prize at Venice, and with ‘At War’ (2018), he returned to the official competition at Cannes. He returned to Venice for the world premieres of ‘Another World’ (2021), ‘Out of Season’ (2023), and ‘A Good Little Soldier’ (2026).
