Simon Stone
Director and writer born in Basel (Switzerland) in 1984, who grew up in Cambridge (UK) and Melbourne (Australia). In 2007, he founded The Hayloft Project theatre company for which he has adapted plays including by Anton Chekhov. From 2015 to 2017, he was in-house director at Theater Basel. His accolades include the Theater heute Production of the Year and the Nestroy Theatre Prize —both in 2015— as well as the Theater heute Play of the Year in 2016. In 2015, he directed the feature film ‘The Daughter, based on Ibsen’s ‘The Wild Duck’, que clausuró la sección Giornate degli Autori en el Festival de Venecia.
