Andrés, a middle-aged man, is going through a midlife crisis exacerbated by his professional failure. After becoming homeless and forced to sleep in his car, he returns to his hometown for the first time in many years. Amidst reunions with past loves, teenage friends, and unresolved family conflicts, Andrés hides his true situation while searching for a refuge where he can rebuild his life.

David Martín de los Santos' debut feature, 'That Was Life' (2020), garnered two Goya Award nominations, including Best New Director. The film won Best Actress at the Feroz Awards, Best New Director at the CEC Medals, and Best New Director and Best Actress at the Carmen Awards, and received numerous accolades at international film festivals. He directed three episodes of the television series 'The New Years' (Movistar Plus+), which premiered at the Venice and Valladolid film festivals. He has also written and directed documentaries such as 'La isla durmiente' (2005), 'Ni vivos ni muertos' (2011), and '¿Generación perdida?' (2011), the latter two for RTVE's Documentos TV series. His short films ‘Take Me Somewhere Else’ (2004), ‘En el hoyo’ (2006), ‘Mañana no es otro día’ (2015), and ’23 de mayo’ (2016) have received over one hundred international awards. ‘Un hombre en un puente’ (2026) is his second feature film, and he is currently developing his next fiction project.
